To Hear                         To Speak               To  Understand

Fargo’s Scottish Rite Language Center treats preschool children who have some sort of speech and communication defects. Treatments are effected by licensed Speech Therapists who evaluate these needy children for, and type of treatment, to develop an appropriate course of  rehabilitative treatment.

Mission—-To treat preschool  children (2-7 years) who have  some sort of speech, understanding and communication deficiency, to prepare them for successful entry into and participation within the school system

How—-Children are treated by licensed speech pathologists on a one-to-one basis according to their specific needs.

Costs—-All services are FREE. Targeted children are those whose families have an inability to pay for the needed treatment. The Language Center does not presently receive insurance payments or governmental support. All costs are currently covered by fundraisers, support from foundations and thru Scottish Rite member donations.

Where—-Treatment is effected in specially designed facilities which allow one-to-one interaction between the child and the pathologist, and to permit unseen (to the child) parental viewing so that the parent can practice home reinforcement  of the pathologist’s treatments.
